What types of massage therapy do we offer?

Swedish Massage

A classic form of full body massage that relaxes the body, improves muscle tone, and stimulates circulation, providing feelings of tranquility and heightened well-being.

Sports Massage

A therapeutic massage that helps athletes warm up, train, reduce the risk of injury, reach peak performance, and heal in the event of an injury.

Shiatsu

Using finger pressure and stretching techniques to reduce stress and support the body’s healing powers, Shiatsu works the energy meridians of the body, helping to release and balance blocked energy, improve circulation, and increase immune function.

Pre/Post-Surgery Massage

Full-body or partial-body (limited to head, hand, and/or feet) massage that physically prepares and mentally relaxes those preparing for surgery.  Post-surgery massage benefits include the reduction of pain, improved lymphatic flow, and increased arterial and venous flow, a mechanism that helps to accelerate the healing process.

Neuromuscular Massage

Comprehensive soft tissue manipulation is used in neuromuscular massage to locate and release muscle spasms and contractions, restore postural alignment, improve flexibility, rebuild strength of injured tissues, and improve blood and lymph flow.

Myofascial Release

A low intensity, long duration stretching of the body’s connective tissue system is used to attain optimal structural alignment of the body.  This form of massage is especially helpful for alleviating symptoms of fibromyalgia.

Deep Tissue Massage

A massage focused on the deeper layers of muscle tissue designed to release chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deeper finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following along or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons, and fascia.

Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy MLDT

Lymphatic treatment works to move congested lymph fluids out of the body.  After manual lymph drainage therapy he body eliminates lymph waste through the kidneys and colon.  Lymphatic treatment detoxifies the body, promotes skin health, relaxes the person, and reduces symptoms of chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.

Reflexology

Reflexology is the scientific theory that maps out the reflexes of the feet and hands that are relative to all of the organs and the rest of the body.  It is a complementary health service by which an exercise pressure is applied to the 7,200 nerve endings in the feet, stimulating every gland, organ, and part of the body.  The goals of reflexology are: to stop further deterioration, persuade the body to biologically correct itself, strengthen and reinforce all systems of the body, and help the body to achieve balance and good health.
