There are some minimum requirements in order to start yoga training at a professional studio. As long as you have taken enough yoga courses and are able to do some of the more advanced yoga poses you will most likely be able to get started in the yoga school of your choice. Once you complete the courses at the yoga training studio and receive your certificate you will be able to get started working as a full time teacher.
Teaching Yoga to Beginner and Intermediate Students
When you complete your teacher training, yoga classes that you teach can be on all kinds of different levels. You may be dealing with students that have no familiarity with yoga at all and need a lot of guidance. You need to get used to explaining the poses in a way that any lay person can understand. You may want to tailor your classes so that they are geared toward specific experience levels and are organized in that way.
Intermediate classes will probably have a better idea of what the basic poses are and you can make these classes a little more intense physically. In these types of classes sometimes the students want a little more freedom to do the poses of their choice. You can allow a certain amount of time for them to do their favorites poses so that they can get the most out of the class.
