It’s normal to be nervous at your first meditation and the meditation process. Meditation is meant to relax the mind, the body and the spirit and get everything working in succession while establishing inner peace. Some people have trouble turning off their inner clock that is ticking inside their mind like crazy. So it’s normal to worry that if you embarking on a path toward meditation that you might not be successful at it. That’s why it’s important to take a class in how to meditate for beginners so that you are walked into meditating slowly.
Peace of mind is important and part of having peace of mind has to do with what we eat, what we drink and what type of medicine and vitamins that we put in our bodies. Some people don’t even realize how doctor prescribed meds are messing with their equilibrium. It’s not until they reach out to an integrative medicine center that they realize how some of the medicines they are taking are hurting them and how a more natural organic approach to medicines can change everything.
For the most part people exercise. They go to a gym and get on a bike or on a treadmill and work out in hopes of having what they consider to be their perfect body. Unfortunately, while exercise of any kind is good not enough people exercise their mind. So while they’ve sweat, and worked off that piece of pumpkin pie they haven’t engaged in mindfulness exercises which is why they leave the gym still feeling off or stressed and not fully relaxed and in touch with themselves.
